Vampire's Lust

The setup

A man driving at night is flagged down by a woman who begs him to stop. Her phone is dead, she is shaken and scratched up, and she says a stranger who offered her a ride turned nasty. She refuses to involve the police and says she feels safe with him, so he takes her to a motel. In episode 2 she is wary of the place, he promises to keep her out of danger, and the clerk smirks about what a man like him is doing there. Alone with him, the woman starts saying things that do not fit a stranded traveler: she describes his scent, sees through his nerves, and treats marriage vows as something only mortals worry about.

Why people keep watching

The fun is watching a man try to be decent while an ancient hunter tests that decency. The suspense is low-lit and slow. Episode 1 plays free for guests, and the free part stays in headlights, motel keys and warnings.
