Trespasser of the Sunken Court

The setup

Rumor says nobody who enters the Sunken Court gets out again. The thief, a mortal who came for a stone, understands why the moment he sees its ruler. She finds him in her garden and asks whether he truly dared rob a goddess, then watches him lose the ability to form a sentence. Most thieves want gold, she observes, so what did he really come for? He says he is looking at it. Instead of the executioner, she declares him her property. Episode 2 shows her putting him to work, demanding he kneel and learn his place, while her betrothed summons her to court. Stay silent, she warns, or both of them die.

Why people keep watching

Fantasy with a collar: an immortal ruler, a mortal with nerve, a betrothed who could end them both, and a court where every glance can be fatal. Episode 1 plays free and sticks to captivity and banter.
