The setup

Sadie spent all of college calling Ethan a loser. Then their parents marry, and she is his stepsister, assigned the room down the hall and a shared bathroom. She tells him not to touch her things and keeps calling him loser anyway. He keeps trying not to look at her and keeps looking. After a scene at the bathroom door, she tells him he has improved and offers to make up for the past, if he will confess that she never left his mind. In episode 2 he does. That night, with both parents downstairs, she locks his bedroom door and tells him he was never a loser.
