Mona's Worst Enemy

The setup

Mona likes her life organized and her opinions loud, so sharing a house with her stepbrother David, a swaggering gym regular who thinks he is a catch, is a daily insult. Episode 1 begins at a climate rally, where he honks at her from the road, offers a ride home and spends the trip getting caught looking. She calls him a pervert; he calls it a view. In episode 2, their father's girlfriend hands out chores and David turns the dishes into a trade: finish them, and he takes her clubbing. Mona objects at length, then accepts the gift he picked out for the night, and the way she asks how she looks tells him more than any insult has.

Why people keep watching

The engine is the dare hiding behind the insults: two grown people who swear they cannot stand each other and keep inventing reasons to stay in the room. The free episodes flirt with stares, bargains and a clubbing outfit, and go no further.

Tune in if

For fans of enemies-to-lovers banter and stepsibling taboo played for laughs, best on a night when you want sharp dialogue more than slow suspense.
