My Bachelor Gift was My Fiancée's Mom

The setup

The fiancée has put her foot down about strippers, and the groom accepts it with a sigh. Her mother, though, sympathizes loudly, announces she'll be out by the pool and invites him to join her once the house is empty. Her surprise is waiting there. In episode 2 she calls it her wedding present, a private and secret celebration, and introduces Gemma and Lexi, two friends of hers. He mentions that the fiancée could walk in at any minute. The mother says that is the best part, and the whole thing turns into a test of how loyal he really is.

Why people keep watching

The engine is the risk: a ring on one finger, a house with a clock on it and a hostess who treats a wedding as a green light. Poolside invitations and raised eyebrows keep the free episodes in teasing territory.
