My Girlfriend's Stepmom

The setup

Jake has hardly unpacked at his girlfriend Chloe's family house when it goes sideways within ten minutes: her stepmother Dana introduces herself with a smile and the news that she has already met him, and the shower was involved. The house rule, Dana explains, is that nothing stays hidden. Chloe somehow forgot to mention it. In episode 2, the family tradition comes out: Chloe, her boyfriends and Dana share a ritual, and Jake is the newest participant. Dana sets terms, rule one and rule two, and tells him to stay still and not stare. He stares. Everyone seems to find that funnier than he does.

Why people keep watching

The charm is the rule book: a stepmother who announces her terms out loud, a girlfriend who treats it all as normal, and a boyfriend who keeps checking the exits. Free episodes stay at flirting, countdowns and raised eyebrows.
