Got Stuck With My Girlfriend's Stepmom

The setup

The boyfriend only offered Mia's stepmom a ride, and now that stepmom, Ms. Dermot, has him to herself. Snow seals the only route out until sunrise, nobody can phone anyone, and his clothes are soaked. She hands him a T-shirt, makes tea, and suggests there is plenty of room under her blanket. In episode 2 she reveals that Mia thinks he is too timid to ever make a move. Ms. Dermot offers to help him prove otherwise, he protests that she is his girlfriend's mother, and then Mia's name lights up his phone at the worst possible moment.
