Family Reunion: My New Step-Cousin

The setup

The family reunion is held on a ranch, and the guest list includes Jake, a step-cousin Lea has never met. Her mother promised he was the quiet type. Lea's boyfriend is busy admiring a colt, which leaves Jake the empty seat and the field wide open. They joke about whether cousins connected only by marriage count as cousins at all. The parents, delighted, practically push them together and propose a trail ride at sunrise. In episode 2 Lea slips away to meet him while the boyfriend wanders outside, calling for her, and the game becomes how quiet two people can be with him almost at the window.

Why people keep watching

A ranch full of relatives, a clueless boyfriend and a step-cousin technicality that everyone treats as a loophole. The fun is the near misses: voices in the next room, parents cheering them on and free episodes that stay at teasing distance.
