My Roommate's Girlfriend

The setup

Nate's roommate, Ben, is a nice guy whose girlfriend, Sadie, stays over every weekend. The walls are thin, and Nate has opinions about the noise. Sadie calls Nate the worst, wishes he would move out, and keeps trading insults with him in the kitchen. Nate's theory is that Ben is too sweet for her, and that what she wants is someone who takes charge. Ben checks that Nate does not mind Sadie staying through Sunday, and Nate says sure and tells him not to get jealous. Episode 2 moves to two in the morning, when Sadie wanders into the kitchen for something to drink in a deliberate outfit and the two dare each other to say what they mean while Ben sleeps down the hall.

Why people keep watching

Everything here is a dare dressed up as an insult, and the longer Sadie claims to dislike him, the less convincing she gets. Guests can open the pilot, and the free episodes keep the fireworks in the dialogue.

Tune in if

Choose this for sharp-tongued banter, a cocky roommate and a couple that is plainly less solid than it looks.
