The setup

Dana has a week to win over her billionaire boss and earn a promotion, while her fiancé Jake has one assignment: stay out of sight. The boss, Marcus Voss, runs a desert estate with his wife, Vanessa, and a habit of making male guests squirm. He pulls Jake aside for a men-only talk and asks a blunt question about Vanessa. Episode 2 explains that this is a game they have played at every retreat for a decade. Vanessa picks in advance. The rules are short, and the big one is that Dana can never find out. Jake may decline and fly home with a tan. By afternoon, a bottle of sunscreen and Vanessa's unhurried attention test how firmly he meant it.
