British Summer with my Stepbro

The setup

The summer plan for Mona and her stepbrother is a stay in Kent, in the sort of household where tea arrives on the dot and everyone sits up straight. Mona spends the trip teasing him, and the pilot opens with her getting a rise out of him on the way to the door. Their hosts have two sons, and a woman named Charlotte greets them looking like a daydream, which leaves him dazed. In episode 2 Charlotte shows them to their rooms, mentions she is right next door, and Mona pokes around a bedroom that plainly used to be a son's, then makes a mischievous point of being late for tea.

Why people keep watching

Manners are both the joke and the pressure: a grand house, a tea schedule, and two houseguests who cannot stop breaking the mood. Episode 1 is open to everyone and stays cheeky, all nudges, quips and near misses.

Tune in if

Pick it for a light, cheeky night when you like your stepsibling tension served with a British accent and a rattled teapot.
