The Prince's Last Week Unwed

The setup

A tournament, a feast and a royal wedding approach, and the prince is promised to Princess Maren. Lady Antonella, his step-cousin, rides four days to arrive first. At the joust a ribbon changes hands in public, and it lands somewhere custom does not expect. Antonella recalls an old night under his family's roof, one he has not mentioned since, and says she will find him at the feast. In episode 2 the bride promises him tomorrow night and his mother frets about tradition, while Antonella, with more nerve than any guest should have, says she wants the man, not the ribbon, and draws him behind a curtain as the cups are filled.

Why people keep watching

It plays like a costume drama with a naughty streak: ribbons, feasts and a pending wedding that makes every glance political. A hidden past, a public gesture and a curtain keep the free episodes teasing.

Tune in if

Good for viewers who want fantasy romance with courtly language, high stakes at a banquet and a rival who arrives unannounced.
