The New Girl

The setup

He is running late on his first day, and his girlfriend Chloe tells him to behave. A newcomer bumps into him, asks for directions, learns he is taken and calls Chloe a lucky woman. She is new too, so they agree to get lost together. Then she remembers she left her books behind and wants a hand carrying them from her dorm room, which is only five minutes away. Inside, she orders him to sit, promises a demonstration no lecture would cover, and he keeps pointing at his girlfriend. In episode 2 Chloe's phone call lands at exactly the wrong moment, and the plan for the afternoon survives it.
