Our Host Is Riley Reid

The setup

For Chloe's birthday, Ryan rents a place on the beach. The host, Riley Reid, welcomes the couple with a splash and a list: no photos, no shoes indoors and a mandatory outdoor shower for all. Chloe heads upstairs to dress for dinner and tells Ryan not to break anything. Riley is already counting on it. By the end of the pilot there is a fourth rule, which says nobody washes alone. Episode 2 arrives with Riley delivering a towel while Chloe calls down about dinner in ten minutes, and Riley bargains for five. The Riley on screen is Riley Reid's licensed AI twin.

Why people keep watching

The house rules are the format: four short laws, one outdoor shower and a deadline set by dinner. It plays as a sly game of beating the clock, and episode 1 and episode 2 hold to towels, glances and haggling over minutes.
