My Father's New Queen

The setup

The old king's new wife is exactly his son's age. At court she orders the prince to kneel and kiss his new mother's hand as the court laughs. That night, with the king sleeping off the wine, she visits the prince's rooms instead. He says she is his father's wife. She says she knows whose wife she is, then shows him a mark that names her a daughter of the enemy house the kingdom has fought for a decade. She tells him to raise the alarm or stay and see it through. Episode 2 reveals that he told no one, which she calls treason, and that her brother's army is marching on the north gate. Riders arrive early, and she demands his choice.
