Kiss My Enemy

The setup

Brooke is a wrestler staring down a booking designed to finish her. Her opponent says it flat out: she has been hired to ruin Brooke's career tonight, and the best Brooke can do is fight back. Brooke can't tell why the woman across from her sounds as if she wishes she weren't holding the pen. Episode 2 opens on the count and a question: why did the rival let her win? She says nothing was handed over, and when Brooke asks what she was paid, the answer is not enough. A promoter then sets terms: a major event a month away, a lengthy contract hanging over one of them and no more work for either if it goes wrong.

Why people keep watching

A rivalry that already feels like a flirtation: a booked match, a bribe nobody mentions and an opponent who may have thrown the plan away. The free episodes keep it in holds, glares and unfinished sentences.
