Date With My Stepmom

The setup

Nina was ready for a night out. Her husband cancels the reservation because of work, and she is stuck at home in a dress meant for someone else's attention. Then her stepson Evan walks in, flustered, talking before he thinks, and the sentence he lets slip is about her. In the pilot, Nina enjoys that far more than she admits and offers him a chance to look properly. Episode 2 is the aftermath: she heard everything, she says so, and the only objection Evan can muster concerns his father walking through the door. Nina notices that he is worried about being discovered, not about what she is to him.

Why people keep watching

A slow reveal built on one overheard line, a good dress and a husband who is always at the office. Nina flirts like she has already won, and the free episodes stay with a raised eyebrow and a lingering look.
