Packing Up My Best Friend's Mom

The setup

Rory asks his best friend to help move his mother out of the family home before Rory's flight arrives on Friday. The mother has just divorced and sounds like she has had a hard year. The helper turns up with a van and finds that she has more on her mind than boxes. Her husband of two decades, she says, failed to notice her in this house. Between keep-or-toss decisions, she tells him to close his eyes. A real estate agent, Tamsin, arrives with a viewing and compliments the helper. In episode 2 the bedroom gets packed, Tamsin tries to borrow him, and the mother confides that no one has made her feel desired in all that time, until this week.
